As Tammy spends more time in the family library, playing chess, or hacking on the computer, Kagura is off spending time with her new crush Chin-Han Grantham. The two had gone to the park frequently and learned more and more about each other as time went by. Soon the twins were growing into teens. Surprisingly, it was Chin-Han's birthday as well. The three celebrated their birthday together with their family, but as invitations were being sent out, Kagura realized that Chin-Han lived in a foster home. This made Kagura sad so she invited him to stay and talk. Understanding her feelings of compassion, Chin-Han welcomes her love and affection. The night was still young and Kagura wanted to go on a date, but Chin-Han thought it would be better if the two spent time together alone at her house. The two teens conversed long into the night, but eventually Chin-Han needed to go home, and with heavy hearts the two departed. The following day Kagura called Chin-Han for a date and he was eager to accept. They went out to eat and afterwards headed to the stadium to see a concert. Kagura and Chin-Han went to her house to finish out their date. By the end of the night, Kagura received her first kiss and started dating her first boyfriend. Of course Kagura wanted him to spend the night but her parents didn't believe she was ready for that. So the two love birds said their goodnights and goodbyes and so ended one of the best nights of Kagura's life.
While her sister was out on her date, heart aflutter, Tammy learned of a Huynh in town who was a part of the first few generations of Huynh's. Desperate to learn more about her family beginnings, Tammy took a trip to visit the house of ghost Tai Huynh. At first, Tammy was scared by seeing a ghost but soon became fascinated by his transparent features. She started to ask him about the first Huynh's, about Saki and Christopher Huynh. Tammy also wanted to learn about how he died, but she believed that was too personal of a question. She realized that with every new question, they were less about the family legacy and more about Tai. Even so, Tammy seemed just fine with that. Later that night, Matthew was
off to work, stealing for his boss as usual, but unfortunately this time, he didn't get away. Matthew spent the night in jail but enjoyed his stay by making a few new friends. After his night in jail, Matthew went home to recuperate and soon he was ready to go. He invited over Bridgett and neither of them were prepared for what happened next. Moments later Matthew found himself spilling out feelings of remorse and love for Bridgett. Surprised but thankful, Bridgett accepted his apology. Full of glee, Matthew proposed again but this time with sincerity.
Matthew was sure he could care for Bridgett and the children since the family funds are soaring yet again. Money comes in many ways from many things. Tammy hacked $333 into the family funds through the computer, her uncle Matthew sold $200 worth of fish, and her father Mike earned $1,704 in tips from playing guitar and all of this was extra money on top of the adults's newer promotions. When all seemed well, in the midst of cooking for the first time, Kyo sets the stove on fire. The issue is quickly resolved as Irene puts out the fire with a fire
extinguisher. Unfortunately, someone called the fire department for assistance when it wasn't needed. Because the fire was put out before the fireman arrived, the family was charged a $200 fine. Of course naturally, the Huynh family was not happy to hear that. With bad news came great news. Matthew and Bridgett had finally set a date for their wedding. The newlyweds and their children found a beautiful new home not too far from the Huynh castle. It was sad to see him go, but the family was proud to see Matthew with a change of heart. Time flew by once again, and Kyo had become a young adult. Seeing their son all grown up made Mike and Irene realize their children weren't babies anymore, and they certainly didn't need them. The elderly couple moved out and let their children live their own lives. Kyo believed it was time for a change of his own as well. He had gone through much of his life never keen on making any friends and as a result never met anyone special either, so Kyo went out on a hunt for the next Mrs. Huynh, but to his surprise he didn't realize the person he had fallen for was the product of the disaster that had befallen the Huynh castle, Megan Huynh, the daughter of Kacey, his father's ex-wife.
